On November 20 we celebrate National Child Day. This day was established in recognition of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child of November 20, 1959, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989. In ratifying that decision, Canada promised children the right to be free of harm and to live and grow to their full potential.
