Peel CAS is joining other Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario in implementing the Child Protection Information Network and will be “live” on this new system on Monday, January 22.
CPIN is a provincial child welfare database. When fully implemented across Ontario, CPIN will give our child protection workers seamless access to information across the province to help keep children safe. All CASs will have access to the same information, allowing us to make the best decisions for each child, while the network supports timely and efficient service for kids in need of protection and their families.
This is a major change for Ontario’s child welfare system and our agency. As we prepare to go live and as we work within the new system in January, our response time may be slower. We ask our community partners for your patience.
