Peel CAS is excited to share that we are on the journey to building our new home, scheduled to be completed in 2020. In fact, this project has inspired the theme for this report as we begin to imagine what our new home will look like!
Peel CAS has no room to grow in its present space and lease costs continue to rise. Working with Orlando, a major developer, Peel Children’s Aid and Peel Children’s Aid Foundation’s new home will be at 401 and Hurontario Street.
This new location is accessible by various transit options including the new LRT. Some features of the new site include an indoor and outdoor play area for families, designated spaces for youth learning and a mutli-sports facility.
Another key feature of the new building is a community hub which will enable Peel Children’s Aid Foundation to extend the scope of services ‘beyond the basics’ and support families in multiple ways. The Foundation will be launching the New Horizons Capital Campaign over the coming months to raise $5 million in support of the community hub. To learn more, or support the campaign, click here.
