On Saturday, November 17, Black Community Action Network Peel (BCAN) and Peel CAS will be hosting a community forum/consultation to support the development of a wraparound service model for African-Canadian families.
This is an opportunity for knowledge sharing with community members and organizations to build regional capacity in Peel so that African-Canadian families receive relevant, meaningful and appropriate services and supports, while promoting greater systemic equity. A report back to the community will be shared in the new year.
Peel CAS and BCAN have formed an alliance to lead the development of an anti-racism, community capacity-building and systems change initiative in Peel. This partnership was formally announced earlier this year, at a joint event which brought together mainstream organizations and leaders of the African-Canadian community.
All are welcome to attend this forum. For more details, see the invitation here.Related Documents
