Services for Youth

The independence program is staffed by child and youth workers and social workers experienced in working with adolescents and young adults. They provide a range of critical services and supports and are on hand to lend an ear, offer a helping hand and help find a path to achieving future goals.

 

Independence services include:

n     Individual support

n     Life skills counseling & group work

n     Budget counseling

n     Financial support

n     Youth criminal justice system advocacy

n     Educational and housing advocacy

n     Job search and training programs

n     Liaison with community services

n     Vocational assessment facilitation

n     Information sharing and referral

n     Crisis intervention

n     Health-related counseling

n     Treatment and residential services advocacy
