Jul 6, 2026, 10:38 AM

The Peel Children’s Aid Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Cerisano as the Foundation’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2.

Frank brings more than 30 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, campaign leadership, donor relations and organizational growth. Throughout his career, he has worked with charities, foundations, educational institutions, hospitals and community organizations across Ontario, helping to build strong fundraising strategies, deepen donor relationships and support meaningful community impact.

He has also successfully led a fundraising network firm that has supported more than 100 organizations in raising a combined $5 billion, including major campaigns for JDRF’s $1-billion campaign for Type 1 diabetes research, Sunnybrook & Women’s $300-million M-Wing expansion, and Sheridan Institute expansion campaigns in support of the Animation Centre and the new School of Business.

Frank also brings strong connections to Peel Region. He began his career in philanthropy in this community, opened his fundraising consulting firm in Peel, and has supported a number of local and regional initiatives over the years. His experience, relationships and dedication to community will be an asset as the Foundation enters its next chapter.

Looking Ahead

As a close partner of Peel Children’s Aid Society, the Foundation plays a critical role in raising funds to support programs and services across Peel Region. With Frank’s leadership, the Foundation will continue to strengthen donor and community partnerships, grow its fundraising efforts, and build on its commitment to creating safety, stability and opportunity for children, youth and families.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Tania Kolar, who has served as Interim Executive Director since September 2025. Tania has been connected to the Foundation for more than 20 years, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors. She stepped into the Interim Executive Director role after taking a leave of absence from the Board to provide leadership and support during a significant period of transition for the Foundation.

As Interim Executive Director, Tania brought professionalism, compassion and steady leadership to the role. She helped advance strategic priorities, strengthen donor and community relationships, support staff and Board members, and lead key fundraising and partnership initiatives. She also played a central role in the successful launch of the inaugural Monarch Ball. Her tireless efforts, commitment and leadership have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the Foundation, and we are deeply grateful for the time, energy and heart she has given to this work.

Please join us in welcoming Frank Cerisano to the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation and in thanking Tania Kolar for her outstanding leadership, dedication and contributions.
