Position Description
Goal:
To provide safe and efficient transportation for children to and from appointments and meetings.
Description & Expectations:
- Drive children to and from appointments and meetings as assigned by the Drive Program
- Confirms in advance appointment/visit with appropriate contacts
- Ensures that the child/ren reach the scheduled appointment on time and is left in the care of a responsible adult at place of appointment
- Relays any pertinent information received from the child during the trip to the Drive Program
- Submits expense claim form in a timely fashion

Volunteer Drive Coordinator
Qualifications Required:
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Safe Driving Record (0 Demerit points on Driver’s Abstract)
- $1,000,000 liability insurance
- Patience and understanding with children
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- An understanding of anti-oppression practices and willingness to embrace these practices
- Vehicle with a car seat anchor tether bolt installed
Time Required:
- Flexible hours, minimum two hours per week
- Minimum one-year commitment
Training Provided:
- Basic orientation – mandatory
- Regular support/training meetings
- Car seat orientation and inspection

- Car Seat(s) and Boosters
